Merchandise for the Brooklyn Museum’s 200th anniversary exhibition, Solid Gold. Created in collaboration with Head of State, the project explores the duality of gold, its luxury and its labor. Inspired by Nigerian influences and post-colonial youth culture, the work reflects on the ethics of extraction and the resilience of the miners behind the material.

Title design, typeface design and campaign materials for a documentary on New York City’s taxi medallion crisis. Inspired by the original NYC taxi logo, and the titlecard from Streets of Gold (1986). The typeface extended across Kickstarter and social media collateral to support funding efforts and community outreach.

A proposed panel discussion touching on womanhood today in relation to the Salem Witch Trials. Three triptychs focusing on typography, pattern, and symbolism. Inspired by degradation and deceit, the posters include quotes from the witch trials, mugshots, and caricature. The accompanying motion piece combines elements from all three triptychs, utilizing photography of various woman and following the theme of degradation.

A booklet of answers from a survey asking locals about their connection to the Brooklyn Public Library. Initially started as an innocent exploration, with written and recorded documentations of people at the library, included in the booklet. This was followed by a proposed event at the library called “openmic”. A themed open mic night held monthly, allowing people to come and speak to each other freely about a chosen topic. The event, paired with the collateral pieces, aim to strengthen community and push for getting to know the people around you. Inspired by risoprinting, early internet, and Craigslist Missed Connections.
